Description
Honda Pioneer 700-2P DLX
The Honda Pioneer 700-2P DLX is a serious overachiever when it comes to putting in a hard day’s work – or a day of even harder play. When you want performance the Pioneer 700-2P DLX delivers with its advanced automotive-style transmission, powerful towing capacity, and noticeable comfort – and that’s just getting started.

|
ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN
|
Engine_&_Drivetrain
Refined Performance
The liquid-cooled 675 cc single-cylinder engine has tons of torque and plenty of power. Fuel injection means it starts right up, even on cold days or at high altitude. And the engine is rubber mounted for reduced vibration.
|
Advanced Transmission
The automotive-style automatic transmission uses a heavy-duty torque converter with three hydraulic clutches. It’s tough, with no belts to worry about, and also smart — a two-stage shift map is engineered to sense when you’re aggressive or light with the throttle, and optimizes power delivery accordingly.
|
Shifting Options
Paddle shifters on the steering wheel allow you to override the transmission’s shift points on the fly, or switch to manual mode (MT) and use the paddles to shift manually. Fully automatic, automatic with manual override, or fully manual — you get to choose.
|
Tackle Any Terrain
Tiptoeing through tricky terrain? Need to make a tight turn? A short wheelbase and a tight turning radius makes it easy to manoeuvre out of almost any situation.

CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION

Electric Power Steering (EPS)
Our Honda Electric Power Steering has always been a groundbreaking innovation; it provides an efficient brushless motor along with a return-to-centre function, and there are no belts or pumps to slip, break or leak. It’s a “smart” system too—you get more assistance when you need it, and less when you don’t.
|
Adjustable Preload Rear Shocks
You don’t want to compromise on handling, particularly when hauling heavy loads—and with our preload rear shocks, you don’t have to. The fully-independent rear suspension features a dual-rate spring and boasts 9.1-inches of travel. So even when loaded to the max, you’re assured predictable handling performance.
|
Independent Double-Wishbone Front Suspension
Just like our rear suspension, the independent double-wishbone front suspension features dual-rate springs for smooth riding, handling, and all-day comfort. And with 7.9-inches of travel, you can confidently navigate rocky, rutted and uneven territory.
|
Disc Brakes
Mud, turf, gravel – you can handle every bit of it with confidence and still stop with confidence. Our triple-disc brakes feature a patented scraper system that helps prevent debris buildup between caliper and rim. 200 mm discs in the front, and lighter, 170 mm inboard-mounted disc in the rear deliver strong stopping power.
|
Aluminum Wheels
Stylish aluminum wheels look great while also helping to reduce unsprung weight for improved handling and ride comfort.
|
New Kenda Tires
New Kenda Mastodon AT tires provide exceptional grip in the toughest conditions, while also improving the Pioneer’s already comfortable ride.
|
Extra Protection
Thicker protection in the wheel wells, plus an upgraded skid plate, help to guard against damage from rocks and other hazards.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Additional_Features
Contoured Bench Seat
One of the most-used components of the Pioneer 700 is the bench seat itself. So we gave it a durable covering that can withstand the frequent entry and exit of passengers—not to mention the elements.
|
1,000-Pound Bed Capacity
In many ways, this isn’t just a side-by-side—It’s a solution. Take the cargo bed: its strong, durable construction can handle 1,000 pounds of whatever you need to carry. That means more cargo in fewer trips, saving you time. Now that’s smart.
|
1,500-Pound Towing Capacity
Sometimes you need to tow things. Like, up to 1,500 pounds of things. So we gave the Pioneer 700 a robust three-quarter-ton towing capacity—strong enough to handle some of those jobs you’d normally use a tractor for.
|
Tilting Steering Wheel
A tilt feature for the steering wheel makes getting in and out easy, especially if you’re taller or wearing bulky clothes. The instrument pod tilts with the wheel, too.
|
Instrument Display
Our instrument display features an LCD screen that’s twice the size of the previous generation's unit, with large text so it’s easy to read. Additionally, features include a Trip B function as well as a battery-voltage display and a tachometer display. The whole unit tilts along with our tilt wheel, too, while the background colour makes visibility easy even in direct sunlight.
|
Bed Lights And 12-Volt Outlet
Work or fun doesn’t wait until the sun comes up or stop when the sun goes down—that’s why we’ve equipped the Pioneer 700 with a pair of lights that illuminate the cargo bed. There is also a second 12-volt outlet located in the bed area for more convenience and flexibility to run accessories like an air compressor, 110-volt inverter, work light, and more.
|
Even More Accessories
A host of new or upgraded accessories let you customize your Pioneer just the way you like it. Want to add powered items like lights, a winch, or more? We’ve made it easy with a wiring harness, along with a dash that features blanks for your switches front and centre. Our optional accessory bus bar gives you even more possibilities.
|
Double-Latch Doors
Knowing you’re driving a side-by-side built with safety in mind makes the adventure that much more fun. Our hard doors feature a double latching system designed after our autos. They work together with our roll-up side nets, helping to keep the elements outside and you secure inside.
|
Tilt Bed
With the cargo bed’s large capacity and durable construction, we’ve made hauling heavy loads easy. So it makes sense that we’d make dumping the load easy, too. Thanks to the smartly-designed hydraulic assist strut, you can tilt the bed and dump the cargo, even with one person.
|
37.5-Watt Headlight
Whether you’re up for work before sunrise or heading home late after a day on the trails, the Pioneer 700’s headlights will light your way. 37.5 watts and single filament, they have an excellent balance and light distribution, so you don't have to deal with dark zones or uneven light patterns. A new taillight and additional reflectors ensure you can be seen better by other vehicles, too.
|
450-Watt Power Capacity
Every component on the Pioneer 700 is engineered to perform. The alternator is no different—with 450-watts, it has plenty of power for everyday use and has enough left over for accessories that help you work easier, like winches, light bars and more. Always consult accessory instructions for specific power requirements.
|
USB Port
The Pioneer’s large glovebox with water-resistant door now includes a convenient USB charging port, which in addition to the12-volt accessory socket under the dash, means your devices will always have a ready source of power.
