engine & drivetrain

Big, Efficient Power

Powerful 675 cc liquid-cooled engine is longitudinally mounted, allowing direct driveshaft alignment to both the front and rear wheels for maximum drivetrain efficiency. By orienting the crankshaft front to back in the chassis, power flows straight to the wheels without any unnecessary right-angle detours, reducing powertrain friction and putting more grunt to the ground.

Compact Engine

The TRX700 Rubicon’s engine is shorter from top to bottom thanks to its overhead-valve, semi-dry-sump configuration. This enhances handling by lowering the engine's centre of gravity, and it also allows for greater ground clearance. Liquid cooling provides consistent operating temperature in extreme conditions to help achieve maximum power output and long engine life. Also, rubber-cushion engine mounting and gear-driven counter-balancer help to reduce vibration.

Automatic Transmission

No belts to slip or clutches to wear out on the TRX700— it features and automotive-style three-speed automatic transmision just like a truck's so you can depend on it for a smooth ride.

Broad Powerband

The engine’s Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system with 40mm throttle body delivers crisp, seamless performance and a broad, easy-to-use powerband, while also permitting hassle-free operation in cold conditions and at varying altitudes.

Tackle any Terrain

TraxLok® lets you select either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Two-wheel drive gives you lighter steering on flat ground, while four-wheel drive maximizes available traction when you need it. Choosing between them couldn't be easier, and you get the best of both worlds.

New Automatic Transmission Mode

New for 2024, the Auto Mode Manual Override feature now lets you shift up and down while you’re in “Auto” mode, giving you even more control and convenience than before.

chassis & suspension

Strong and Lightweight

Durable double-cradle steel frame developed with Computer Aided Engineering is sturdy and lightweight for precise handling and a smoother ride.

Smooth and Controlled

The TRX700 Rubicon’s Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) helps to ensure constant tire contact with the ground for superior traction, while also producing a smooth ride over rough terrain so you don't get beat up on the trail.

Strong Stopping Power

Dual front hydraulic disc brakes with large rotors provide strong stopping power. The front brake calipers feature a built-in scraper system that removes mud and snow from inside the wheels to help prevent the buildup of debris between caliper and rim for consistent braking performance. Inboard rear disc brake is mounted on the rear driveshaft, reducing unsprung weight and keeping the disc out of harm’s way in rugged conditions.

Aluminum Wheels

Large 26-inch Maxxis® tires with an aggressive tread pattern are mounted to aluminum wheels that look great while also keeping unsprung weight low.

additional features

Pro-ConnectTM Rack System

Mount accessories directly and quickly to the rear or front rack of your TRX700 Rubicon using the easy Pro-ConnectTM Rack System (no tools required). A purpose-built line of Pro-ConnectTM accessories helps to keep your gear in place and more secure wherever you place your items on the rack, while maximizing storage capacity. Front and rear steel-tube carriers feature large steel plates and additional tie-down points for improved load security.

Bold Look

A full-sized steel front bumper wraps around the headlights, improving protection and adding to the Rubicon’s aggressive appearance. The bumper also features an integrated mount for an accessory winch. Rugged bodywork offers excellent mud and debris protection.

Powerful Output

High-output alternator has extra capacity to help power electrical accessories and to keep your personal electronics charged.

Information at a Glance

Full-function instrumentation gives the dash a modern look while providing information at a glance. The display includes speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, coolant temperature, clock, gear-position indicator, 4WD indicator and even a Maintenance Minder system that notifies when it’s time for service.

See Clearly

Three LED headlights shine brightly to give you a clear view of the trail ahead.
